Rockwell Collins to Supply Flight Simulator Display for Canada's Search & Rescue Training Program - top government contractors - best government contracting event

CAE has selected Rockwell Collins to provide a display system for a full-flight simulator the Canadian air force will implement to help aircrews operate a search and rescue aircraft platform.

Rockwell Collins said Thursday it will help install the Panorama collimated display into CAE’s CC-295 FFS.

The simulator for Canada’s Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue program will support flight training for CC-295 planes built by Airbus‘ defense and space business.

“This is a program that helps save the lives of thousands of Canadians each year,” said Lee Obst, managing director of Rockwell Collins Canada.

Panorama is designed to provide up to 225-degree horizontal and 60-degree vertical fields of view for cross-cockpit and side-by-side aircrew training.

Rockwell Collins noted that the display system can also support simulators for aircraft such as the C-130, CH-47 Chinook, NH90 helicopter and the P-8.
