Boeing has received a potential $24.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide peculiar support equipment for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft’s airborne sensor technology.
The service branch seeks to obtain engineering and logistics data for PSE support functions under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Defense Department said Monday.
The company will conduct product support analysis and deliver training information, technical manuals and proof-load documentation to the Naval Air Warfare Center’s Aircraft Division Lakehurst.
Seventy percent of contract work will occur in Richardson, Texas, and the remaining 30 percent in St. Louis, Mo.
The Navy will obligate the full contract amount at the time of award from the service branch’s fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement funds.
Boeing is scheduled to complete work by March 2022.
