The U.S. Air Force has posted an advanced research announcement on FedBizOpps to seek input from entrepreneurs on how to increase the security and resiliency of energy management systems at the service branch’s installations.
USAF said Tuesday the solicitation will remain open through May 2, 2023, and calls for ideas to develop alternative energy-efficiency systems for military equipment, bases and aircraft.
“The parameters of this announcement are broadly-defined because we want to explore a wide range of advanced solutions for a wide range of situations,†Capt. Harold Gotwald, project engineer at the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Advanced Power Technology Office.
Gotwald added the branch looks to demonstrate and evaluate systems in an effort to advance technology readiness levels of those platforms.
