Engility has collaborated with Building Homes for Heroes to provide a mortgage-free house in Tampa, Florida to retired U.S. Air Force Capt. Gabriel Gonzalez, who was injured during active duty in Iraq.
The company published Monday it has helped five wounded veterans receive home gifts since 2013 and Gonzalez will be the first of two home gift beneficiaries in 2018.
“Our military heroes are men and women who eagerly responded to the call of duty to serve our country and defended American ideals of freedom around the world,” said Engility Chairman and CEOÂ Lynn Dugle.
“It is our privilege to serve them and their families now,” added Dugle, a 2018 Wash100 recipient.
Military veterans make-up 30 percent of Engility’s workforce.
