Lockheed Martin has received an $8.4 million contract to provide engineering support services for the U.S. Navy‘s Freedom-variant Littoral Combat Ships.
The Defense Department said Friday the service branch will obligate $473,000 at the time of award from the service branch’s “other” procurement, research, development, test and evaluation funds.
Work under the sole-source contract covers program and resource management, cost and schedule control, documentation and status report services.
Fifty percent of work will occur in Moorestown, New Jersey, and the remaining 50 percent will take place in San Diego, California and Jacksonville, Florida.
