VITECÂ has received a contract from the Canada’s department of national defense to manufacture video encoders integration into light armored vehicles.
The company said Tuesday it will supply the department with more than 1,000 MGW Diamond TOUGH encoders designed to process videos for military personnel to gain situational awareness, patrolling and intelligence data.
The encoder is intended for situation awareness, patrolling information and intelligence gathering missions of the LAVs geared at providing defensive protection and firepower for the transportation of Canadian infantry into the battlefield.
VITEC developed its technology to facilitate video capture and live streaming through four serial digital interface for 3G, high-definition and standard definition or composite inputs.
MGW Diamond TOUGHÂ also works to deliver IP videos from both analog and digital sources inside a vehicle or external radio frequency and satellite links designed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
