A BAE Systems business unit has received a potential $35 million delivery order to help the U.S. Navy update military and technical systems on a Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser.
BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair will conduct depot-level maintenance, alteration and modification of the USS Cape St. George (CG 71) ship as part of a special selected restricted availability effort, the Defense Department said Thursday.
DoD noted the Navy will obligate $34.8 million in fiscal 2018 operations and maintenance; and “other” procurement funds at the time of award.
The service branch received two offers for the delivery order through a previously awarded multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts.
