Imaging systems vendor Lexmark has rolled out a kiosk offering designed to help government agencies provide documentation assistance to citizens.
MFP Kiosk is a self-service platform that guides citizens through paperwork and documentation processes, Lexmark said Wednesday.
The company incorporated its “smart” multifunction tools and an intuitive touchscreen interface into the kiosk system.
“The slow, manual processes associated with constituent paperwork, applications and documentation are a significant roadblock as government agencies struggle with budget pressures, limited resources and higher constituent expectations,” said Marty DeGraff, director of Lexmark’s government solutions arm.
DeGraff added the company designed MFP Kiosks to help address agencies’ document classification and verification challenges as well as reduce wait times for their customers.
The devices also work to provide access to agency forms, applications and other documents for on-demand printing.
MFP Kiosks include security features that are meant to protect data gathering, storage and routing activities, Lexmark added.
