Leidos has been included in Bloomberg‘s 2018Â Gender-Equality Index, which recognizes companies’ efforts to promote gender equality.
The inaugural index evaluated companies’ statistics, employee policies, community engagement and gender-conscious offerings, Leidos said Wednesday.
The 2018 GEI lists firms that scored at or above the global threshold set by Bloomberg to reflect transparency or the implementation of “best-in-class” statistics and policies.
Leidos achieved best-in-class designation in categories such as the number of women on the board of directors; gender-based compensation reviews; paid maternity leaves; childcare and medical services; and employee resource group for women, among others.
“We’re honored to be recognized for our commitment to diversity because it drives innovation in everything we do at Leidos,” said Leidos Chairman and CEO Roger Krone.
Krone added that Leidos recruits employees “with differences in thought, style, and perspectives” to form a talented workforce.
