Luke McCormack, former chief information officer of the Department of Homeland Security, has joined the federal advisory board of directors at Data Systems Analysts.
DSA said McCormack brings information technology and leadership experience in the public and private sectors to DSA as a federal advisory board member.
As DHS CIO, he was responsible for strategic guidance, cybersecurity services, cross-component information technology management, and IT cloud and infrastructure services across the department.
He previously served as the deputy assistant attorney general for information resources management and CIO for the Justice Department.
McCormarck also held the CIO role at DHS’ Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and served in various senior IT management positions at the Customs and Border Protection, such as CBP director for infrastructure services.
His private-sector career includes stints at MCI and Ford Motor‘s aerospace division.
McCormack earned an M.B.A. degree from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and certifications from Columbia University and the National Defense University.
