Raytheon has teamed up with Pivotal Software to help the Defense Department expedite the development of new software platforms and transition legacy applications to cloud environments.
Raytheon said Tuesday it has joined the San Francisco, California-based software firm’s Pivotal Ready Partner Program as part of the partnership to deliver new technology capabilities to the military.
“The software enabled battlefield of the future demands new tools for the modern warfighter,†said Todd Probert, vice president of mission support and modernization at Raytheon’s intelligence, information and services business.
Probert added the company will leverage and integrate its experience in software and deep mission knowledge with Pivotal’s tools and processes in support of the military’s technology modernization efforts.
Pivotal has a cloud platform – Pivotal Cloud Foundry – that works to help government and commercial clients upgrade their legacy systems and speed up delivery timelines through software-based digital transformation.
