Arvizio has demonstrated its enterprise mixed reality platform during the I/ITSEC 2017 conference that took place in Orlando, Florida, last week.
The MR Studio platform works to help trainees view, interact with and understand products and machinery without the need for physical objects, manuals and paperwork, Arvizio said Friday.
MR Studio is designed to deliver three-dimensional visualization with computer-aided design project overlays, real-time video, audio and annotative functions to support collaboration among on-site and remote participants using any device.
Arvizio CEO Jonathan Reeves said MR Studio seeks to eliminate the need for trainees to travel to a single training location and use “dedicated equipment that could otherwise be commercially deployed.”
“KBRWyle has years of experience developing [virtual reality] applications for government and military usage and we see a very bright future for mixed reality,” said Michael Hardy, general manager of modeling, simulation and training at KBR‘s government services arm KBRWyle.
Hardy added that Arvizio’s platform offers a “unique” set of features that can be used in training scenarios such as multi-user collaboration and support for large CAD, construction and engineering models.
