Andrew Naismith, managing director of the aircrew training services business at CAE, has been named managing director of the aerospace technology manufacturer’s U.K. subsidiary.
He will oversee CAE’s defense and security business operations in the U.K. in his new position, the company said Friday.
Marc-Olivier Sabourin, vice president and general manager of CAE’s defense and security business in Europe and Africa, said Naismith will aim to help sustain the company’s work as a training systems integrator in support of British military programs.
Naismith will also continue to manage the Medium Support Helicopter Aircrew Training Facility located at Royal Air Force Base Benson in England.
He previously served in the U.K.’s navy and air force for a total of 32 years, which included operational tours as a helicopter pilot and squadron commander.
