A Raytheon business unit has secured a four-year, $44.5 million foreign military sales contract from the U.S. Army to provide air defense radar systems and support services to Egypt.
Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems will provide eight F1 Sentinel radars, eight Ethernet extender kits and concurrent and diagnostic spare parts packages, the Defense Department said Thursday.
The unit will also facilitate operator and maintainer training courses under the contract.
Work will occur at a company facility in Fullerton, California, through Oct. 31, 2021.
The Army Contracting Command received one bid for the contract via the internet and the service branch obligated the full amount at the time of award from fiscal 2018 FMS funds.
