Leidos has received a potential five-year, $29 million prime contract to continue to provide research and development support services to the Naval Health Research Center’s Warfighter Performance department.
The company said Monday it aims to identify methods to help increase operational performance and resilience of U.S. naval warfighters as well as optimize strategies for their health assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation.
Leidos’ naval health unit will also perform R&D, test, evaluation and surveillance efforts intended to help bolster the global deployment readiness of Defense Department personnel.
“We are pleased to continue supporting the Naval Health Research Center and providing the scientific and technical expertise to help ensure our military personnel are ready for duty, and can perform at the highest levels – both physically and psychologically,” said Jon Scholl, a Leidos group president.
The NHRC Warfighter Performance department explores ways to enhance, maintain, measure, model and restore human performance under military operational environments.
