Engility has secured a potential five-year, $30 million contract from the U.S. Navy to help the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division update the service branch’s naval aircraft systems engineering methods.
The company said Tuesday it will support the Navy in efforts to modernize launch, recovery and visual landing equipment and maintain aircraft deployed on Navy ships and at U.S. Marine Corps airfields.
The contract, won through a recompete, contains one base year and four option years.
“This win allows our subject matter experts to work alongside our customers to ensure mission readiness and deliver best practices in engineering, cyber, and software development,” said Engility CEO Lynn Dugle.
Dugle added that the company has supported the Naval Air Systems Command’s systems engineering programs over the past 20 years.
Engility will also provide technical services such as design engineering, software test and circuit board diagnostics through the contract.
The company has previously supported NAVAIR’s Aircraft Structural Life Surveillance program.
