Northrop Grumman has received a $13.4 million contract modification to fund the low-rate initial production of remote control units for the U.S. Army‘s Spider Increment IA networked munition system.
The Defense Department said Thursday Northrop’s systems business unit will perform work through Feb. 13, 2019, in Alabama and Florida.
Spider Increment 1A will offer Army warfighters an updated control station for common munition systems designed for anti-personnel and anti-vehicle missions.
The Army obligated the full contract amount at the time of award from its fiscal 2016 and 2017Â “other” procurement funds.
