Leidos has entered a three-year agreement with Keystone Sports and Entertainment, owner of soccer club The Philadelphia Union, to become a local presenting sponsor of an annual soccer competition between the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.
The Army-Navy Cup VI is scheduled to take place on Oct. 15 at the Talen Energy Stadium in Pennsylvania, Leidos said Monday.
Gerry Fasano, chief of business development and strategy at Leidos, said the company seeks to demonstrate its support to the country’s service members through the company’s sponsorship of the Army-Navy Cup.
The sporting event was initiated in 2012 and has drawn more than 10,000 people every year.
The Army and Navy have each won the cup twice after the first event ended in a draw.
