Jeff Matthews, formerly director of venture strategy and research at the Space Frontier Foundation, has joined Deloitte Consulting LLP as a specialist leader.
Matthews will lead Deloitte’s space innovation and technology workforce advancement efforts, the company said Tuesday.
“Jeff’s creative and collaborative work with leaders from startups, nonprofits, venture capital firms and industry organizations mirrors our own multifaceted, tech-based approach to this new space industry,†said Brett Loubert, a principal at Deloitte Consulting and Los Angeles federal leader.
Loubert noted Matthews will help Deloitte further support its clients, expand its Los Angeles-based space practice and broaden the company’s work in virtual reality.
Matthews is a certified project management professional and a venture strategy consultant who has experience in offering management advisory support to early-stage firms that develop products and services across the areas of aerospace, data analytics, financial technology and power generation.
He has authored several reports on commercial space and aerospace technologies and provided consulting support for the strategic investment division at NASA’s office of the chief financial officer.
The space industry veteran previously served as a program manager and technical analyst at The Tauri Group, CFO at Corrosion Solutions and as a management information system manager at F+A Architects.
