Leidos CEO Roger Krone will discuss the company’s efforts to help address opioid abuse at the COMMIT!Forum, an event for corporate responsibility and sustainability practitioners scheduled to take place from Oct. 10 to 12 at MGM National Harbor in Maryland.
Clay Stamp, an adviser to Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, will join Krone in the discussion and talk about the governor’s declaration of a state of emergency to address the opioid epidemic in Maryland as well as the importance of private-public partnerships in the effort to address the crisis. CR Magazine said Tuesday.
Krone, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, announced in August that Leidos partnered with the Chris Atwood Foundation and other nonprofit organizations to help mitigate opioid abuse.
“I hope our peers will join us on this journey,” he wrote in a blog entry.
“As an industry and as a society, let’s come together and talk about the changes that are needed. That’s exactly what Leidos will do.”
Krone is a finalist for CR Magazine’s Responsible CEO of the Year award.
