Army Students Graduate From CAE-Administered Fixed-Wing Training Program

The first batch of six U.S. Army students has graduated from the Initial Entry Fixed-Wing training program delivered at CAE‘s Dothan Training Center.

CAE said Monday it helped the Army develop the IEFW training course that lasts for four months and covers academic, simulator and aircraft training, including upset recovery training.

The first set of CAE instructors received certification from Aviation Performance Solutions in June to conduct upset training for Army students as part of the service branch’s Fixed-Wing Flight Training program.

CAE serves as prime contractor under the Fixed-Wing Flight Training program, which administers training required to operate the Army’s fleet of more than 350 fixed-wing aircraft.

The company and its industry partners use Grob G120TP and C-12 aircraft to provide training at CAE’s Dothan Training Center in Alabama.
