The Commerce Department‘s National Technology Information Service has selected ICF as one of 35 industry and research partners eligible to pursue opportunities to support the agency’s data projects across the federal government.
ICF said Tuesday it will work alongside data science and data analytics companies and research groups to help NTIS on the development of big data, cyber-physical systems, Internet of Things, machine learning, open access, open data and smart city technologies.
The company noted that Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker has said in a press release the partnerships provide a platform to utilize federal data to help support advances in data science, software development and innovation.
“ICF’s partnership with NTIS places us at the forefront of the federal government’s efforts to organize, analyze and transform the massive volumes of stored federal data into useful application to help drive informed decision-making and advance the needs of the American people,” said Kris Tremaine, an ICF senior vice president.
