The U.S. Army has begun to search for industry sources of research and development and technical services that could support the Army Research Laboratory’s cybersecurity service provider.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday stated ARL will use information from the responses to identify interested vendors and formulate a strategy for a planned solicitation on a contract with one base year and four option years.
The Army seeks to boost cyber defense against sophisticated adversaries of the service branch, the Defense Department and the U.S. government, according to the notice.
ARL’s cyber defense effort engages various organizations and some partners use ARL CSSP services for network defense functions, the notice stated.
The Army also plans to host an Industry Day for potential contractors on Dec. 13 at the Adelphi Laboratory Center in Maryland.
Interested parties can submit responses and Industry Day RSVPs through Dec. 1.
