NovAtel has received an order from the U.S. Naval Observatory for its anti-jamming antenna system in efforts to address the core controlled reception pattern antenna requirements of the Defense Department‘s main global enterprise network.
The company said Monday its GPS Anti-Jam Technology will serve to support the DoD Information Network, which facilitates voice, data, video and bandwidth services.
“GAJT has now been shipped and is in use operationally by 12 allied nations around the globe,” said Michael Ritter, NovAtel president and CEO.
GAJT works to secure GPS-based navigation and timing receivers against jamming and interference in a push to provide the military continuous access to satellite signals, NovAtel added.
The null-forming system is designed to be M-Code ready and compatible with current civil and military receivers.
NovAtel noted that GAJT can be configured for land, sea, fixed installations and unmanned aerial vehicles as well as other smaller platforms.
The company said it has delivered more than 600 GAJT antennas to the U.S. Navy.
