Architecture and engineering firm NIKA has been awarded a $1 million contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs to design a new outpatient clinic in Riverview, Florida for the VA.
Hokanson Companies will lead the project scheduled for completion by 2018 and Doster Construction Company will be responsible for construction aspects for the 50,000-square-foot South Hillsborough outpatient clinic, NIKA said Thursday.
NIKA will develop the schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration services.
Kabir Chaudhary, NIKA CEO, said the company will continue its “history of working with the VA and other agencies to design and improve our government’s military healthcare facilities.”
NIKA Senior Vice President Mark Smith will act as managing principal on the design project, Vice President of Allocation and Engineering Services Tae Jung as design principal and Amit Vajaria as project manager.
