The Commerce Department has awarded DRT Strategies a one-year, $6.3 million contract to design and build new systems in support of efforts to modernize of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration‘s database and its related applications.
DRT said Wednesday it will work to update NTIA’s Frequency Management Records System and Frequency Authorization Management Program through the development of new data analysis systems.
“The rapid proliferation of wireless technology dictates the need for NTIA to help federal agencies more effectively and efficiently utilize allocated spectrum resources,†said Michael Duffy, executive vice president at DRT.
He added the company will aim to help advance technical and logistical radio and electromagnetic data collection, retrieval and analysis tools in support of national defense, public safety and other federal agency missions.
