CAE has reported $76.3 million in defense contracts from sector customers such as U.S. military agencies and other companies Insitu and Rotorsim.
The company said Tuesday the U.S. Air Force and Navy have exercised contract options for continued KC-135 tanker and T-44C aircrew training services respectively.
Work to support the Air Force’s KC-135 program will include classroom and simulator instruction services along with updates and maintenance of the tanker’s aircrew training devices.
The Navy’s option covers a third full-year of T-44C aircrew training services to approximately 600 U.S. and international students at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi Texas under a contractor-owned, contractor-operated framework.
Gene Colabatistto, president of CAE’s defense and security business group, said the KC-135 and T-44C aircrew training services contracts represent long-term partnerships for the company and recurring revenue sources.
Boeing‘s Insitu subsidiary selected CAE to help train operators of the former’s ScanEagle unmanned aerial system through classroom and simulator instruction.
A fourth contract to CAE from its Rotorsim joint venture with Leonardo‘s helicopter division covers maintenance and support services on helicopter simulators in Italy and Scotland.
