Bae-systems-logo_ExecutiveBiz1The U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems has debuted a new concept fighting vehicle and a wearable technology at the ongoing Association of the U.S. Army meeting in Washington.

BAE Systems Inc. said Monday its Next Generation Bradley Fighting Vehicle demonstrator includes a new chassis designed for underbelly protection, fuel and ordnance compartmentation and force protection.

“We’re focused on integrating current, emerging, and future technologies to significantly improve the Bradley’s mobility, force protection, and lethality,” said Deepak Bazaz,  director of artillery and Bradley programs for the BAE U.S. arm.

BAE also unveiled the Broadsword Spine wearable technology the company developed with Intelligent Textiles as an alternative offering to current heavy portable data and power supplies that military and emergency service personnel use.

ITL announced its partnership with BAE in July to sell the e-textile based layer technology to military, fire-and-rescue and law enforcement organizations that rely on work to carry electronic equipment.
