Dinesh Paliwal, chairman, president and CEO of Harman International, has joined the board of directors at Raytheon.
Paliwal has led Stamford, Connecticut-based Harman’s overall operations over the past nine years as well as its efforts to develop connected platforms and services for automakers, consumers, and enterprises globally, Raytheon said Friday.
He also held a 22-year career at ABB Group, where he previously served as president and chairman of the global technology firm and CEO of the company’s North American business.
“Dinesh is well-known for his customer focus and commitment to innovation” said Thomas Kennedy, Raytheon CEO and chairman.
“We look forward to leveraging that expertise, as well as his deep understanding of international business, as we continue to execute our global growth strategy,” Kennedy added.
Paliwal also currently serves on the board of Bristol-Myers Squibb and the business advisory council of Miami University’s Farmer School of Business.
He is also a member of the CEO Business Roundtable, U.S. India Business CEO Forum and U.S. India Business Council.
