AM General‘s Mobility Ventures subsidiary has received an order from the Department of Veteran Affairs for five wheelchair-accessible vehicles through bus distributor Master’s Transportation.
Mobility Ventures said Tuesday VA will use the MV-1 vehicles at medical centers in Colorado, Florida and Tennessee.
MV-1 was added to Master’s Transportation’s General Services Administration Schedule contract in 2015 and the purchase marks the vehicle’s entry into the federal fleet, Mobility Ventures added.
The vehicle is designed to feature a built-in side-entry ramp and accommodate up to five passengers, Mobility Ventures noted.
Mobility Ventures offers paratransit vehicles for public and private transportation as well as design, engineering, marketing, sales and customer service support.
