Cobham has secured an 18-month, $2.9 million contract from QinetiQ to support the Empire Test Pilots’ School and Rotary Wing Test and Evaluation Squadron based at a British military airfield in Wiltshire, England.
The agreement calls for Cobham to deliver one Bell 412 HAR2 helicopter as well as provide aircrew training services and deploy maintenance personnel at the U.K. Ministry of Defense Boscombe Down facility, the company said Thursday.
“We look forward to working with QinetiQ to deliver these services,” noted Peter Nottage, president of Cobham’s aviation services sector.
He added the contract builds on the company’s experience in supplying military-registered, contractor-owned aircraft.
QinetiQ and MoD jointly operate ETPS and RWTES under a long-term partnering agreement.
