New York-based corporate investigations and risk consulting firm Kroll has named Devon Ackerman, Mari DeGrazia, Ron Dormido and Ray Manna as directors for its cybersecurity and investigations unit.
Kroll said Monday the four were appointed as a part of the company’s push to meet demand in cyber investigations and advanced digital forensics services among clients.
Tim Ryan, Kroll cybersecurity and investigations managing director and practice leader, said the experience of the new directors from federal law enforcement, the military and the private sector will aid the company’s efforts to anticipate cyber threats.
Ackerman previously served as a supervisory special agent and senior digital forensic examiner for FBI, where he managed all of its digital forensics-related field operations in the U.S. and co-founded the North Carolina cybersecurity and intrusion working group.
Manna, a former U.S. Army officer, led the bureau’s Philadelphia Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory as director and served as the supervisory special agent in charge of the forensic processing of digital evidence.
DeGrazia held a senior security consultant role with the research, investigations, solutions and knowledge practice of Verizon, where she also worked as case lead on network intrusion and data breach investigations.
Dormido, formerly a Verizon RISK senior information security consultant, was a special agent in the Army Intelligence and Security Command, where he helped form a computer forensics and digital evidence recovery laboratory for a counterintelligence investigations unit in Hawaii.
