SAIC logoScience Applications International Corp. will provide simulation and training support services to special operations military personnel and employees of civilian and federal agencies under a potential five-year, $93 million task order with the U.S. Army.

SAIC said Monday the software engineering directorate within the service branch’s Aviation and Missile Research, Development and Engineering Center awarded the labor-hour, fixed-price task order through the General Services Administration’s One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services contract vehicle.

Jim Scanlon, senior vice president and general manager of the Army customer group at SAIC, said the training services will work to help service personnel perform in high stress environments.

The task order contains a one-year base term with four option years and also covers scientific research and software development support for AMRDEC SEC’s programs.
