A BlackBerry business unit has expanded its networked crisis communications platform in Europe in an effort to support public safety.
AtHoc has made its platform available in Europe to address the need for secure communications for the cloud-based exchange of data in support of life safety and business continuity, the company said Tuesday.
AtHoc President Guy Miasnik said the technology works to comply with European data protection requirements.
The platform looks to enable on-site and remote communication across organizations in case an incident occurs and offers a mass notification service that works to deliver collaboration and situational awareness.
The networked crisis communications platform is available from BlackBerry’s Europe-based data centers.
