general-dynamics-logo2General Dynamics‘ information technology unit has landed a $47 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide support for new and existing shipboard and airborne systems.

General Dynamics Information Technology will provide other services such as customization, design, fabrication, modernization, logistics, installation, testing, evaluation and related services through March 2017, Defense Department reported Thursday.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division awarded the cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-reimbursable contract for support to its ship and air integrated warfare department to be performed in St. Inigoes, Maryland, and various locations in and out of the U.S.

The Patuxent River, Maryland-based Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division is responsible for air combat system acquisition support, aircraft maintenance, air vehicle test and capability, airframe engine testing and other related services.
