Jacobs Engineering Group has landed a subcontract from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions for telecommunications operations and maintenance services provided to the Energy Department‘s Savannah River Site facility.
Jacobs will provide materials, transportation, equipment and services for the site’s telecommunications systems, Jacobs said Tuesday.
The subcontract covers support to help operate and maintain voice switching equipment, unified communications systems, transport systems, video systems, data networking systems and distribution frames, among others.
“We are excited to continue providing the DOE with telecommunications solutions at Savannah River,” said Darren Kraabel, Jacobs senior vice president of aerospace and technology.
Kraabel also noted the company hopes to build on its DOE and National Nuclear Security Administration portfolios through this new award.
