Clayton, Dubilier & Rice has named former Boeing Chairman and CEO Jim McNerney as its new senior adviser to provide support for its investment and value-creation strategies.
McNerney brings decades worth of experience in management while he held senior leadership positions for a number of global companies, CD&R said Wednesday.
“His exceptional record is one grounded in strengthening the foundations of the companies he has led, not only through productivity measures but by inspiring new thinking, sharpening customer focus, driving profitable growth initiatives, fostering financial discipline and maintaining an unswerving commitment to integrity in all business dealings,” said CD&R Chairman and CEO Donald Gogel.
McNerney served as the chairman and CEO of Boeing from 2000 to 2015 and has held leadership roles at 3M Company, General Electric and McKinsey & Company.
He currently serves as a director for Procter & Gamble and IBM. and a member of the Center for Strategic and International Studies board of trustees.
