France’s national data privacy agency has authorized BMC to control and process European data.
BMC received the European Union accreditation as both a controller and processor of data under the Data Privacy Binding Corporate Rules, BMC said Wednesday.
“This accreditation sends a clear signal to our customers and partners that we take our responsibility of securely managing their data seriously and have EU-level approved standards to do so,” said Jonathan Perez, global privacy officer at BMC.
With the authorization, BMC will be allowed to transfer personal data outside of the EU.
