Mark Malcolm, president and CEO of automotive structural metal assemblies supplier Tower International, has been appointed to the board of directors at General Dynamics.
Malcolm will serve on General Dynamics’ audit committee, the company said Wednesday.
“With Mark’s experience at the helm of a publicly traded manufacturing company and his financial management background, he’s an important addition to our board,” said Phebe N. Novakovic, chairman and CEO of General Dynamics.
He joined Tower International in August 2007 after one year as a senior adviser to Cerberus Capital Management.
Malcolm spent nearly three decades at Ford Motor Co. and held a wide range of leadership roles, including executive vice president and controller of Ford Credit, finance and strategy director for global purchasing and director of worldwide accounting.
The Dartmouth College alumnus earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
