A team comprising Datapipe and TechAnax have secured a potential five-year contract to provide information technology support services for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
The IT firms will work with a group of contractors to plan and carry out data center migration and offer hosting services to VA, Datapipe said Tuesday.
Under the contract, Datapipe will work to transfer VA’s IT operations and equipment to its New York City-based Equinix data center.
The contract has a one-year base term and could extend for another four years if VA exercises its option to migrate applications into Datapipe’s Federal Information Security Management Act-compliant private cloud platform.
“There are a lot of moving parts to this contract, from designing the physical hosting environment for efficiency to installing new rack monitoring devices,†said Byron Athan, CEO and president of TechAnax.
TechAnax serves as the primary contractor on the Northeast Region 4 Datacenter Hosting and Support Services contract.
