Rebecca Rhoads, chief information officer of Raytheon, has been chosen to receive the 2015 Fisher-Hopper Prize for Lifetime Achievement in CIO Leadership award from the University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
The university said Monday it recognized Rhoads for her efforts to promote diversity in the technical workforce as well as science, technology, engineering and math programs.
She will accept the award during the university’s Renaissance CIO Banquet event that will be held Sept. 17 at a faculty club on campus.
Rhoads has held the CIO post at Raytheon for the past 14 years and is also president of the defense contractor’s global business services organization.
UC Berkeley created the Fisher-Hopper Lifetime Achievement award in honor of Gap clothing brand founder Don Fisher and Sabre booking system creator Max Hopper.
