The U.S. National Reconnaissance Office has announced plans to competitively fund industry projects to explore sensing, aperture and sensemaking analytics technologies.
NRO said in a broad agency announcement posted Aug. 6 on FedBizOpps that it wants research and development proposals from companies as well as nonprofit and academic organizations.
The agency expects to issue multiple contracts with a $450,000 ceiling value over a nine-month performance period through the NRO Director’s Innovation Initiative Program.
Interested parties must submit “a transmittal letter, a cover page, an abstract, an introduction and a summary chart describing their proposed project” for agency evaluation.
Submissions are due Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
