Mississippi State University to Recognize HP’s Marilyn Crouther at Empowerment Dinner

Mississippi State University will host an empowerment dinner on Thursday to recognize six professionals in both the public and private sectors for their leadership, public service, vision and contributions to society.

Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager for the U.S. public sector at HP Enterprise Services, will join five other awardees at the event as part of the university’s Men and Women of Color Summit, MSU said Tuesday.

Crouther oversees the delivery of HP’s information technology platforms and services to customers in the homeland security, defense, intelligence and healthcare sectors.

She is also a certified public accountant and holds a degree in accountancy from MSU.

Other individuals to be honored by the university are:

• Linda Cornelious, professor at MSU’s department of instructional systems and workforce development
• Sebetha Jenkins, former president of Jarvis Christian College
• Albert J. Williams, president of Chevron Pipeline Co.
• Wanda Williams, deputy freedom of information officer with the National Archives and Records Administration‘s general counsel office
• Camille Scales Young, a state and government relations specialist at Cornerstone Government Affairs in Jackson, Mississippi
