CyberStockJames Carder and Chris Petersen of LogRhythm and Alissa Torres of the SANS Institute joined Sameer Bhalotra, former senior cybersecurity director at the White House, as presenters at the recent SANS Digital Forensics Incident Response Summit.

LogRhythm said July 2 their presentation titled “Finding the Needle in the Haystack: Triggering Cyber Breach Incident Response by Spotting Even the Most Sophisticated Attacks” focused on intrusion detection and incident response.

The company added that the presenters also shared guidance and insight on the latest detection and response approaches against security breaches, including the integration of threat intelligence with security analytics.

Carder, a former executive of Mayo Clinic and Mandiant, was recently appointed chief information security officer of LogRhythm and vice president of LogRhythm Labs.

Petersen is LogRhythm’s co-founder, chief technology officer and senior vice president of products.
