Nick van Terheyden Joins Dell Services’ Healthcare Business as Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Nick van Terheyden, formerly chief medical information officer at Nuance Communications, has joined Dell Services’ healthcare and life sciences business as chief medical officer.

Dell said Monday van Terheyden will report to Sid Nair, vice president and global general manager of HCLS business at Dell Services, and will oversee strategic initiatives for the company’s healthcare information technology platforms.

Van Terheyden has more than two decades of healthcare technology experience in areas such as speech recognition, electronic medical records, medical intelligence and natural language processing.

He is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, American Medical Informatics Association and the mHealth Executive Committee.
