Dr. James Blake, formerly program executive officer for simulation, training and instrumentation at the U.S. Army, has been named vice president and deputy general manager of integrated training solutions at Cubic‘s global defense business.
He brings experience in technology research, development, procurement, modeling and simulation to his new position, Bill Toti, Cubic Global Defense president, said Thursday.
Dr. Blake has served as the Army’s PEO STRI from 2005 to 2014 and has also led the military branch’s contracting activity.
He left the Army with the rank of colonel in 1995 after a 27-year military career.
After that, he worked in technical, academic and executive roles before he became program manager for the U.S. Defense Department-backed Institute for Creative Technologies.
He also served as a Senior Executive Service member and as deputy PEO STRI at the Army.
