Steve Harris serves as vice president and general manager of the federal systems group at Dell, where he oversees a portfolio of enterprise systems, client solutions, software and service offerings for the public sector.
He leads the organization that works with U.S. government civilian and military agencies to help them manage their mission areas through the use of information technology platforms.
Prior to his current role, Harris served as area vice president of the technology maker’s state and local government and education business from 2009 to 2014.
He managed the SLED unit’s partnerships, sales, marketing, customer support and strategic programs.
The 16-year company veteran also held the roles of sales representative, account executive, regional sales manager within the advanced systems group.
Harris also led the higher education and healthcare sales organization at Dell’s public business group.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in management science from the State University of New York at Geneseo.
