The U.S. General Services Administration has conducted one-on-one meetings with information technology vendors to discuss the upcoming Alliant II and Alliant Small Business II governmentwide contract vehicles, FCW reported Thursday.
Jackie Everett, Hewlett-Packard vice president of federal civilian business development, told FCW that she believes the face-to-face discussions between GSA and industry officials can help the agency finalize Alliant requirements.
“In a forum like this, you can have a conversation about what the government is really trying to get to by way of an outcome and explore more cost-efficient ways to deliver those outcomes,†Casey Coleman, group vice president for civilian agencies at Unisys‘ federal business, was quoted as saying.
GSA launched an Alliant II online community on the Interact.GSA.gov website in early 2014 and drew about 8,000 forum participants.
The agency also hosted an industry day in November, issued a draft request for proposal March 31 and attracted 349 companies to the one-on-one meetings, according to FCW.
