Raytheon has inked a 10-year agreement with Kongsberg to extend their collaboration on the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System program and continue work on system performance and capabilities.
Raytheon said Monday the combined efforts will include the integration of the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile – Extended Range with the NASAMS system.
Eirik Lie, executive vice pesident of Kongsberg’s defense systems business, noted that the companies also partnered recently on the Naval Strike Missile and Joint Strike Missile programs.
Raytheon Chairman and CEOÂ Tom Kennedy and Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace CEO Harald Annestad signed the partnership extension agreement at the recent Paris Air Show.
