The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence is seeking proposals for a program that aims to develop and assess methods for insider threat detection.
The Scientific advances to Continuous Insider Threat Evaluation initiative will be carried out in two separate research efforts and is slated to commence in December, IARPA said in a broad agency announcement published Thursday on FedBizOpps.
The first part of the program will focus on the development of active indicators and automated detection platforms that seek to identify espionage activities.
The second half will concentrate on the development of Inference Enterprise Models that will be used to help forecast the capability of tools, data, processes and other hypothesized and existing systems to detect potential insider threats.
IARPA said it will accept proposals until Aug. 10 for the SCITE program, which will run through December 2018.
